The walkthrough, step by step
Pick the player before anything else
Tizen offers two, and they behave differently, so decide now. IPTV Smarters signs in with a plain login and is free; Smart IPTV is lighter and steadier on an older panel, but charges a small one-time fee and needs a MAC address uploaded. On a 2016-era set, lean toward Smart IPTV.
Open the Samsung store
Hit Home, go to Apps, then use the magnifier search at the top of that screen.
Install, and grab the MAC
Install your choice and launch it once. For Smart IPTV, copy down the MAC address it puts on screen at once — you will want it shortly, by which time you will have moved across to your phone.
Link it to your account
In Smarters, pick Login with Xtream Codes and type the three values. In Smart IPTV, go to siptv.app/mylist on a phone or laptop and post your M3U link to that MAC address.
Restart and check
Quit the app fully and reopen it so the list and the guide come in. Put a live channel up and give it a minute; on the remote, the channel-list button is the fastest way through the groups once you are watching.
If it acts up
The app is missing from the Canadian store
Samsung carries a different line-up region by region. Either change the region under Settings, or drop back to IPTV Smarters, which is stocked almost everywhere. We can point you to a working alternative if neither pans out.
Smart IPTV says the playlist expired
That message is the app, not your subscription lapsing. Reinstalling it, or a TV reset, clears the saved list, so resend the M3U at siptv.app/mylist to the same MAC address and it comes straight back.

Can I run IPTV on a Samsung without a Firestick?
You can. Any Samsung from 2016 on runs IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV from its own store, so the television is the only piece of kit involved. A stick is only worth adding for an ageing panel, or if you specifically want TiViMate, which Samsung does not stock.
Is Smart IPTV free on Samsung?
Free for the first week, then a small one-off charge tied to that particular TV. IPTV Smarters skips the fee entirely. Either way the app is a blank shell until a subscription sits behind it, so nothing appears before you have signed in.
