The walkthrough, step by step
First, check it is even needed
Does your player list Xtream Codes? Smarters, TiViMate and most others do — if so, use that and you can close this page, since Xtream brings the guide data along too. Save the M3U link for the holdouts that refuse a login, which in practice means VLC and Kodi.
Copy it, then treat it as secret
You will find it in the activation message, shaped like http://server:port/get.php with your username and password appended. Guard it as you would a password: hand that link to anyone and you have handed them your subscription.
Load it into the player
In VLC, go to Media > Open Network Stream. In Kodi, it is the IPTV Simple Client, pasted into the M3U URL field. Smart IPTV takes it at siptv.app/mylist. TiViMate and Smarters accept one under M3U playlist as well, though on those two the Xtream login serves you better.
Add the guide URL if prompted
The odd player keeps the EPG on its own line. It is the same host, this time ending xmltv.php with your details attached — just ask and we will send that across whenever a player wants it kept separate.
If it acts up
It is painfully slow to open
The file stretches to thousands of lines and a bare-bones player reads the lot before it shows you a thing. Either move up to something that sorts by category — TiViMate or Smarters — or ask us to cut you an M3U pared down to the Canadian channels.

Why do the free M3U lists on GitHub die?
Because they are scraped streams reposted for the whole internet to grab, so thousands of strangers pile onto one source at once. The host blocks them or simply buckles, usually within days, and there is nobody to ask for a fix. Those sharing pages are a favourite malware channel besides. A paid playlist answers only to your account — and that difference is the whole point.
